Lalit Sahoo is an Indian cinematographer with over 15 years of experience, working predominantly in Hindi cinema and crafting images shaped by emotion, atmosphere, and narrative intent. A graduate of the Biju Patnaik Film and Television Institute of Odisha (BPFTIO), he trained for eight years under acclaimed cinematographer Anil Mehta, where he developed a visual language that is disciplined yet expressive—always grounded in storytelling.

His work spans feature films, short films, web series, television promos, digital commercials, and music videos. Over the years, Lalit has contributed to projects both as an independent Director of Photography and as a second unit and additional DOP on large-scale productions. Drawn to stories driven by character, rhythm, and mood, he approaches cinematography as an invisible force—using light, composition, and movement to subtly shape emotion and deepen narrative impact.

Known for his high-energy approach, naturalistic lighting, strong technical expertise, and refined understanding of art and color palettes, he collaborates seamlessly with directors to translate creative vision into compelling cinematic storytelling.
